Penn Senator® Rods feature a tubular
glass blank with Penn’s Integrated Solid Tip (IST) for added durability,
and a significant decrease in overall weight versus solid glass blanks.
Other key features include AFTCO Roller stripping guide and tiptop, with
chromed stainless “In-Between” guides for the best combination
of line-wear protection and economy. All Senator® Rods include Penn’s
Slick Butt® for increased durability and ease of quickly removing the
rod from the rod holder under the intense pressure of a “submarining”
fish. This combination of chromed ring guides and rollers with Penn’s
Slick Butt® is indicated by the RS model designation. Penn Senator®
Rods also feature machined reel seats, capable of standing up to the intense
pressures oversized fish can exert on tackle, and a metal gimbals for serious
fishing applications. Finished in charcoal gray, Penn Senator® Rods
feature a new checkered butt-wrap for improved appearance.  |
