2002– The premier International Lever Drag
Series reel, the International V, is introduced.
2003 – Penn is sold to Sea Striker
Inc. of Morehead, North Carolina and Master Fishing Tackle of Carson,
California.
2004 - Over seventy years after being
founded by Otto Henze, Penn models now hold over 1,400 IGFA world
records.
2006 – The revolutionary International Torque
is named the America Sportfishing Association’s Saltwater Reel
of the Year! The Torque utilizes patented Integrated Side Plate (ISP)
technology which enables the reel to achieve super-high drag with
fewer parts.
The International series also introduces the 30,
50, & 130 VSX series.
2007 – Penn celebrates seventy-five years
of fishing tackle superiority!
