Comments: This enormous blue shark was taken on a Penn 9/0 reel, with Berkley Big Game line after a 50 minute fight. Ms. Sexton has applied to the IGFA for a women's 130# line class world's record. The current women IGFA 130# class record is 334 pounds taken off of Rockport MA in September 1964. The fish is the leader in the women's division of the Mass Saltwater Governor's Cup for blue shark.
