Job Title: Project Manager - Tools and Equipment
Summary: Performs a variety of engineering assignments in the concept, planning, and design of products and Manufacturing processes. Verify product meets our internal standard and consumer needs. Works collaboratively to insure new products generate appropriate return and meet growth objectives. Under general supervision plans, conducts, assigns, and monitors assignments, including reviewing the progress and evaluating the results of assigned work. Possesses and applies knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization and function with some latitude for un-supervised action or decision. Searches for and promotes new ideas that might be applicable to the company’s products. Creates innovative designs in response to new product concepts and maintains technical capability for effectively achieving results.
Evaluates designs and prototypes for performance and reliability. Oversees development projects to improve and reduce costs of existing products and processes, as well as the introduction of new products and processes. Assigns monitors and reviews the progress and accuracy of assigned work. Coordinates the day-to-day operations by “leading and directing” projects, direct coworkers or indirect coworkers to assure a smooth workflow. Work time is spent performing most of the same duties as those supervised. Under general supervision, plans, conducts, assigns, and/or monitors assignments, including reviewing the progress and evaluation the results of assigned work.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- A minimum of eight (8) years experience in developing new products
- Pro Engineer CAD system expertise is critical for achieving desired results
- Must convey a sense of urgency to keep projects on schedule. Must be able to interface smoothly with other departments to coordinate projects
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to balance multiple priorities. Must be creative and able to regularly contribute innovative ideas and concepts
- Ability to interface with multiple suppliers and manufacturers domestically and internationally for the transfer of product specifications
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Summary: Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Additional responsibilities will include preparing a consolidated management deck. Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries
Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports. Reports and advises on organization’s financial status. Develops, implements, modifies, and documents accounting systems. Compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley internal reporting requirements. Conducts special studies, develops, or recommends enhancements to accounting methods and procedures. Under general supervision, carries out broad and complex assignments requiring comprehensive knowledge in the field of specialization and of the organization in order to interpret and apply organization policies, as well as develop recommendations for change.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Three to five years experience in an accounting field.
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion is desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in the Philadelphia plant. Also available on a consultant basis for other plant locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification:
- Acts as primary specialist in manufacturing.
- Responsible for investigating and troubleshooting manufacturing problems and other issues pertaining to reel production.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Serves as manufacturing expert for design for manufacturability issues.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Evaluates and initiates orders for new machinery and equipment required in the manufacturing process. Negotiates with vendors of machinery and equipment with regard to machine capabilities and performance warrantees.

Job Title: Tool Maker
Department: Tool Room
Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor

Summary: Be able to use appropriate equipment such as surface grinder, wire EDM, manual mills and lathes and equipment to create and make tooling to match part drawings. With the proper equipment have the ability to create angles, radius, on all tooling to create a high quality, tight tolerance parts. These duties are to be performed within quality and production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification:

Read blueprints and use necessary measuring devices to make, or modify existing tooling, tools for new or old job prints.

Make sure tools are sharpened and tool holders in good working condition before being placed back on shelf or in tool drawers. Repair or requisition replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed to maintain adequate stock.

Set-up and operate all tool room machines for specific form tool, tap, drills, or holder for grinding.

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s electrical equipment.

Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities including air compressors, nitrogen lines, and lighting systems.

Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions including building of carts and layout boards without prints.

Job Title:Lean Leader/Quality Manager

Position Summary:
Lead the team responsible for developing, educating and implementing Lean processes within Penn Fishing Tackle, focusing on the elimination of waste within or facility and business processes. Oversees an organization that performs the duties inherent in a professional quality organization.
Position Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification:

Develops and implements Lean training programs for the Philadelphia facility.

Develops and implements structure for Kaizen events.
- Directs the overseas factory by providing the technical information (engineering information, inspection methods, manufacturing techniques, material specifications, tooling methods, etc).
- Develops a program to measure and evaluate the success of Lean programs.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of product both in-house and outsourcing initiatives.

- Develops or approves recommendations to change systems, policies and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.

Establish a 3 year plan for each product category. Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals. Be an expert with respect to the competition. Assist the Marketing team in developing catalogs, print and TV ads, and related collateral materials
Assist the QC department on inspections of incoming products and communicate issue with suppliers. Assist the Engineering department in developing specifications and feature innovation. Achieving delivery timelines on new and existing products
Brief and train the sales force at yearly meetings. Monitor POS information on our product as well as the competitors.
Required Experience:
