While in Marathon, FL a few weeks ago I purchased a Battle 5000 combo. It worked so well, I purchased another. Loaded both with 30 lb braid, it filled the spoon nicely. The combo performed well on everything we caugth, chech out the picture.
I have recently purchased two Battle 5000 combos, and i am very satisfied with this product. Very smooth system, excellent drag, i feel that this reel can handle almost any fish. I have spooled 30 pound braid on both these reels, and there is no need for any type of backing because of the rubber gasket conveniently located on the reel. highly would recommend it.
Purchased a Battle 3000 series combo and put it right to the test! While fishing yesterday I hooked into a Monster Snook weighing 25lbs. and 40 inches long. Once the drag was adjusted right, the rod and reel had no problem muscling in the Monster!
I just got this combo and am thurouly impressed with it so far however I have caught many fish off of the battle reel.
