Battle

New for 2013, the Battle is now available in a combo. The popular Battle features a full metal body, side plates and rotor for exceptional durability. The machined and anodized aluminum Superline Spool features a rubber gasket so there is no need for mono backing or tape, allowing anglers to tie superlines directly to the spool. A HT-100™ drag system provides smooth drag under heavy loads to eliminate pulled hooks from other erratic, jerky drags.

Matched with the Graphite Composite Battle rod with aluminum oxide guides, no fish stands a chance. The Battle combo take the abuse regardless if you’re fighting a big redfish or a bull mahi, the Battle combo will fit the bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend This Product To Anyone I have recently purchased two Battle 5000 combos, and i am very satisfied with this product. Very smooth system, excellent drag, i feel that this reel can handle almost any fish. I have spooled 30 pound braid on both these reels, and there is no need for any type of backing because of the rubber gasket conveniently located on the reel. highly would recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First fish was a 45lb Bull Red Drum. I've had this for about 5 months and my first fish was a massive Bull Red Drum around 45lbs caught while soaking a chunk of mullet in the Pamlico River.  A great fish and the Battle 6000 got the job done in about 15 minuets.  Since then I've caught about 10 Striped bass while trolling on this rig and I'm very satisfied.  My only complaint is that a small plastic piece of trim on the bottom of the reel has broken but it does not affect function and I'm not sure how it got broken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Setup That Gets The Job Done! Purchased a Battle 3000 series combo and put it right to the test! While fishing yesterday I hooked into a Monster Snook weighing 25lbs. and 40 inches long. Once the drag was adjusted right, the rod and reel had no problem muscling in the Monster!
