I use 9M - 209 - 309 and 6 0 senators on 12' to 15' Ugly Sticks for surf fishing here @ Galveston, Texas
I have been fishing with my the Penn Reel my Dad gave in 1966 and still use it today for flounder and weakfish in the Delaware Bay, and nearshore for striper and blues when they run. It is still providing me with great fishing. No one believes how old the reels is until you explain about the bakelite torpedo handle.
so happy with this level wind... small...thin... and quite tough for the size. just love it.
Bought my 9M in 1972.It's landed thousands of Great Lakes sport fish over the years with out fail ever.Might land a few more before I'm done.
