Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite fishing rod My brother liked this rod so much he got me one too for my birthday. I have had this rod for 15 years now and have caught many grouper, snapper and kingfish with it. I love the shortness of it and it makes for some quick torque when you need it. The extended forearm lets you really get some solid leverage. The shortness lets you get around things quickly when you have to chase a fish around the boat too. I have never had to replace anything on this rod as it is solidly built. I would suggest that you rinse off the roller guides and lubricate them though so they don't corrode on you. I seem to catch more fish on this rod than any other, so hey you know its going to be my favorite. I think it deserves a new Penn torque to go with it.
